Monsters Made with Love is sewing with a self-love twist, because being human is hard, and sometimes you just need a googly-eyed fleece friend to get you through it.
Every kit, workshop, and custom creation is built around one idea: you don't have to be perfect to make something meaningful. In fact, the whole point is that you don't. Every lopsided monster and crooked seam is a celebration of individuality, because each one is perfectly imperfect, just like the person who made it.
Every Stitch Has a Story
What started as a personal hobby and a desire to teach a friend to sew has grown into a workshop business and community initiative dedicated to building confidence, connection, and belonging through the art of making. We work with kids as young as four and adults who haven't touched a needle since home ec. We show up for nonprofits, mental health organizations, corporate teams, schools, and birthday parties with wine. Our signature monster and heart sewing workshops are joined by offerings like neurographic painting and wet felting, creating welcoming spaces where everyone can create and belong.
The workshop curriculum was developed in consultation with an occupational therapist and refined over more than a decade with input from mental health professionals, because showing up for people the right way matters as much as the making itself.
We believe creativity belongs to everyone, that play is serious business, and that the act of making something with your hands can remind you of things about yourself you forgot were true. Every workshop is customized. Every monster is one of a kind. And every single stitch is made with love.
